EUROPAM, an international non-profit association, represents the interests of its members regarding wild collection, growing, first processing steps and quality assurance of perfumery, medicinal and aromatic plants.

Core activities

  • Our main goal is to promote optimum legislation for the production of perfumery, medicinal and aromatic plant raw materials.
  • We provide expertise and scientific information concerning issues of good agricultural and wild collection practices (GACP) as focal point for stakeholders on the Europan level.
  • Furthermore, we provide guidance documents and databases to help our members to better fulfill legal and GACP criteria.

What drives us?

Sustainability and biodiversity

Perfumery, medicinal and aromatic plant production is characterized
by an enormous number of different species. Production
of many species, however, is rather restricted in quantity compared to the major agricultural crops. Promoting sustainable production in Europe against existing economical constraints and increasing the rather poor agricultural biodiversity drives us.

What drives us?

Collaboration on the European level with stakeholders in our area and amongst producers/processors is an utmost priority to ensure high quality and safe European products.

National associations of producers of perfumery, medicinal and aromatic plants of European countries are constituting EUROPAMs’ decision body and the information collectors and distributors.
In case of no national association in a country, also producers may represent a country. Furthermore, industrial and academic partners are invited to our joint work.
